  The NNPC/MPC-JV EMOIMEE Host Community Development Trust (HCDT), Mkpat Enin Chapter has donated hospital equipment and drugs worth millions of Naira to the Cottage Hospital, Ikot Abia in Ukpum Minya clan, and Primary Health Center, Ikot Akata, Ikpa Ibom clan. The donations took place at the two hospitals last Monday in Mkpat Enin local government area  Speaking during the handing over of the hospital equipment at the two hospitals, the Management Executive Representative for EMOIMEE Mkpat Enin local government area, Rev.   The Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Bassey Eno has cleared N39.831 billion commercial bank loan owed by the administration of the immediate past Governor of the state, Mr Udom Emmanuel.  The Honourable Commissioner for Finance, Mr Emem Bob made this known during a press briefing on Tuesday at the Ministry's Conference room, Idongesit Nkanga Secretariat, Uyo. According to him, "After a thorough review and negotiations, this Administration of His Excellency, Pastor Umo Bassey Eno fully cleared the debt as at last month of November, 2025. The total amount paid was N39.831 billion. The details of the transaction are; Principal: N34.533 billion and Interest of  N5,298 billion." The Finance Commissioner noted that since May 29 , 2023 when Governor Eno came to power, he has not borrowed money for any project or programme. He further disclosed that the Governor has also  paid additional N76.3 billion out of the N 110 billion backlog of gratuities inherited from 2012....

Obot Ekanem has handed over a well furnished party office to the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Ikpa Ikono ward 3, Mkpat Enin local government area.                 Okon Okon Names implementation committees The Executive Chairman, Akwa Ibom State Internal Revenue Service (AKIRS), Sir Okon Okon, has assured Nigerians that the new tax reforms recently introduced by the Federal Government will ease the tax burden on citizens, particularly those within the low-income bracket. Sir Okon gave the assurances while speaking in Uyo, recently, during a courtesy visit by the Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Akwa Ibom State Command, Mr. Francis Ajatta, as part of ongoing engagements towards the implementation of the new reforms scheduled to commence in January 2026.
