The Prince Enobong Uwah led Monitoring Committee for Uyo Capital City arrived the Church about 11am after visiting other Churches only to run into a stonewall of over 6 able bodied men who blocked the access gate, which was also locked with padlock, as they asked the monitoring team to leave insisting that, they would not be allowed entry. Executives of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in ward 10 Estako West local government area of Edo have lifted the suspension order on Comrade Adams Oshiomhole. APC National Vice Chairman (South South), Hilliard Eta, announced this at a briefing in Abuja. Police Naps 60 Suspects There is palpable tension and fear in Inen community in Oruk Anam local area of Akwa Ibom as two persons were at the weekend reportedly killed in a renewed clash between cult groups. The Management of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, has been consulting with the family of Elder Ibanga Bassey Etang who passed away in the early hours of Thursday, May 28, 2020. The family has authorized the Commission to announce that the late executive director tested positive to COVID-19. The Rivers State Ministry of Health has written to the Commission to also confirm the cause of death resulting from complications attributable to COVID-19. The ministry has, therefore, directed the Commission to order all management staff to go into self-isolation for a period of 14 days with effects from today, While seeking the cooperation of the organisation in tracing staff and contractors who have had close contact with the deceased. Calls for calm among University landlords Indigenes of Offot Ukwa communities in Uyo Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State have risen in unison against the illegal demolition of houses in Ekpri Nsukara by the University of Uyo Authority, describing such as a criminal act.
