The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has described Cross River State as deserving of its coronavirus free status. NCDC stated this on Monday during a verification visit to the State. Emmanuel Nicholas Agriculture is a major sector of the economy. In fact, calls for diversification from total dependence on  oil can hardly be overemphasized. The naira on Thursday exchanged at N450 to  dollar at the parallel market as build up on dollar demand continued to rise. The naira is seen weakening on the black market as dollar demand rises from foreign investors and importers with payment obligations accumulated amid hard currency shortages triggered by an oil price crash, traders said. The St. Gabriel Coconut Oil Factory located in Ikot Akpan Okop, Mkpat Enin Local Government of the State is handled by VKS Nigeria Construction Limited. The factory which has a projected capacity of processing one million coconuts a day, will commence with a starting capacity of 300,000 coconuts daily. In Eleme local government area, there exist two covid19 taskforce teams, one from the state headed by a group of PDP members not in the same camp with the council boss and the other constituted by the LGA council chairman which the wanted PDP youth leader is a member.
