Hon. Asuquo Nana Udo, member representing Ikono State Constituency in Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly is a rare breed legislator whose representation has changed the hitherto narrative of the State Constituency. 

One good term, they say deserves another, Hon. Udo has been a tested and trusted lawmaker who deserves another chance to consolidate on his laid down gains at the State House of Assembly.

Hence, It is perceived as fallacious for anyone who is seeking election to whatever office to attack the sitting member representing Ikono State Constituency, Hon. Asuquo Nana Udo to the extent of conceiving that the only achievement of the Honourable member is the procurement of two motorcycles. 

It is pertinent to enlighten the masses and doubtingThomases that apart from the legislative practice, which is one of the cardinal duties of a Legislator is make laws, carrying oversight functions and defending his people on matters of urgent public importance.

Without mincing words, Hon. Asuquo Udo isn't lacking behind in the course of justifying these tasks as a legislator. 

Within these years in office, Hon. Udo has presented the following bills: 

Bill for the Establishment of Akwa Ibom State Tourism, Arts and Culture Endowments Fund (AKSTACEF) Which has passed second reading. 

Borehole water for communities

✓✓ Open grazing prohibition Bill that the HE signed into law. 

✓✓He has also co- sponsored 18 Bills and Three motions. 

✓✓  COLLAPSE BRIDGES IN IKONO STATE CONSTITUENCY, A CALL FOR GOVERNMENT INTERVENTION, which led to the approval for the construction of the said road by HE Governor Udom Emmanuel on the November 10, 2021

✓✓ "Rising Cases of Jungle Justice in Akwa Ibom State: Urgent Need to End the Menace," attracted the acceptability of all members.

✓✓ As the Chairman House Committee on Agriculture, he has embarked on severally oversight function with his committee members. He has led his committee to meet with Honorable commissioner for Agriculture and Natural Resources, Dr Glory Edet to ensure food Sufficiently for Akwa Ibom people. 

✓✓ He has advocated for soft loans for Farmers to revived agro businesses in the state.

✓✓ He attended LEGISLATIVE ENGAGEMENT at the 64th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference with the theme "ADAPTATION, ENGAGEMENT AND EVOLUTION OF PARLIAMENTS IN RAPID COMMONWEALTH" in Kampala, Uganda. He has also attended a Workshop for Members of the 7th Assembly on International Public Sector Accountability Standards (IPSAS) capacity building for a transparent budgeting in Lagos in 2019 for legislative delivery. 

✓✓ Hon. Asuquo Udo has added his voice and contributed for the Akwa Ibom State College of Science and technology,  Nung Ukim, Ikono to be passed into law.

✓✓ He has provided Jamb Forms for 120 Ikono Indigenes in 2019 and over 200 indigenes have enjoyed this same gesture in the 2021. 

✓✓ At different higher institutions across the country, he has paid school fees for over 52 Ikono indigenes. 

✓✓ Sporsord and support Ikono sons and daughters to Law School. 

✓✓ Hon Udo has also facilitated Free Registration/ Processing of School of Nursing Forms for 53 indigenes of Ikono.

✓✓Giving Fee Grants to 8 Admitted constituents at the School of Nursing is also on the list of his noble achievements. 

✓✓  The lawmaker sponsored over 25 of Ikono indigenes to participate in an E-commerce, Digital Marketing and Mini-Importation training. 

✓✓ And  over 200 in ICT training in 2021

✓✓ Culvert/ drainage construction at Ikot Okubo has also been done by him. 

✓✓ Two water projects at Ikot Okubo have also been provided by the lawmaker. 

✓✓ Ikot Idio is also a village that has gained from Hon Udo’s life touching water projects. 

✓✓ He delivered a complete and fully furnished Village Hall to the people of Ikot Idio and more are at different stages of completion. 

✓✓ The electrification project at Ikot Idio (ward 9) and Iton ikot ito (Ward 7)  are the tangible testimonies to this action-driven legislator as it pertains to power. 

✓✓ The sterling-performing lawmaker has provided financial assistance to many constituents to boost their businesses. 

✓✓ Donation of Over 700 desks to primary schools across Ikono LGA. 

✓✓ Renovation of classroom blocks for condusive learning environment. 

✓✓ Facilitated the Employment of 5 of his Constituents in the just concluded State Secondary Education Board. 

It is however imperative for the good people of Ikono State Constituency to know that  Hon. Asuquo Udo has never declared serving his people at the state legisture for a single term. 

Hence, anyone with such claims is hereby requested to provide such evidence either by agreement signed by him and the witnesses, by videos or audio to proof the assertion. 

Hon. Udo is poised to reposition Ikono State Constituency through human oriented laws, motions and matters of urgent public importance, therefore, no amount of false accusations shall distract him from delivering his mandate to his people in the State House of Assembly beyond 2023.
