Why I Join Mkpat Enin Assembly race-Uwem Imo-Ita

  

The race for who succeeds the incumbent Member representing Mkpat Enin State Constituency in Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Mr Victor Ekwere in 2023, is getting more interesting as Hon Uwen Peter imo-Ita, an indigene of Ukpum Minya Clan, has declared his  intention to run.

Hon Imo-Ita, who is a former councilor, made his intentions known when he  consulted his family, Atung Akpan Akwaowo Royal family in Asong, Ukpum Minya Clan on Wednesday, March 23, 2022.

Addressing his kinsmen, the House of Assembly hopeful noted that the Mkpat Enin state constituency seat has been zoned to Ukpum Minya clan where he hails from, saying that he has all it takes to represent his people in the State Assembly come 2023.

Hon Imo-Ita who represented Ukpum Minya ward 3 in Mkpat Enin legislative council some years ago, mentioned that he is in the Assembly race to bring his legislative prowess to bare by sponsoring and supporting people oriented bills, as well as give quality representation to Mkpat Enin people.

His words, " Some years ago, you people sent me to the Council and I made you proud. I have gained all the legislative experience and it is time to go higher and contribute my quota to the development of this State. I am not only going to develop the State, I will as usual develop all of us."

He promised to give effective representation through regular interface with his people in form of constituency briefings and empowerments, when elected as member representing Mkpat Enin State constituency in the forthcoming 2023 election.

Meanwhile, Hon Uwem Peter Imo-Ita is one of the frontline aspirants from Ukpum Minya clan who has purchased the Peoples Democratic Party expression of interest and nomination forms for the House of Assembly race to take over from the incumbent ,Victor Ekwere whose tenure will elapse in May 2023.

High point of the consultation was prayers for his success both at the party primaries and general elections by elders of his family amongst others.
