2023: PDP Inaugurates Campaign Council In Mkpat Enin...Set for Total Victory

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Mkpat Enin local government area has inaugurated its campaign Council Committee to work towards achieving victory for all candidates of the party in the forthcoming general elections in 2023.

The inauguration took place at the Joe Udobia Mini-Council Hall, Mkpat Enin local government secretariat yesterday, Friday November 11, 2022.

Speaking at the event, the Chairman of the Campaign Council, Prof Eno Ibanga charged the committees to embark on intensive campaigns that would translate into massive votes for the total victory of all the candidates of the party in the forthcoming elections.

He congratulated the committee leaders whom he noted, were carefully selected to lead various segments of the campaign organisation,  explaining that more people will still be added to the campaign for effective delivery.

While stating that the campaign Council was formed with the understanding to make it an all inclusive affair, Prof Eno Ibanga mentioned that Mkpat Enin people have all the moral obligations to embrace PDP, specifically because the party graciously offered its senatorial ticket to Barr Ekong Sampson.

He noted that Barr Sampson is the first indigene of the area to enjoy such privilege. Prof Eno Ibanga who is the current Commissioner for Works and Fire Service also disclosed that Mkpat Enin will benefit so much when Pastor Umo Eno whose wife is from Mkpat Enin, is voted into power as governor in 2023.

Speaking further, the PDP Candidate for Eket Senatorial District, Rt. Honourable Ekong Sampson urged the people to take the campaign personal, especially as the party magnanimously ceded the office of the first lady and that of a senator to Mkpat Enin local government area, a gesture he described as rare in the history of Mkpat Enin.

He reiterated that only committed and hardworking persons will be comprehensively rewarded by the party and charged the people to vote massively for all candidates of the party from presidency, senate, House of Representatives, Governor and State House of Assembly.

On his part, the PDP candidate for Mkpat Enin State constituency, Honourable Uwem Imo-Ita emphasized on massive campaigns in all  the nooks and crannies of Mkpat Enin to propagate the ideas and promises of the candidates to ensure total victory for the party.

He warned against anti-party activities by PDP faithfuls, adding that people will be rewarded according to their work by the next government.

On his part, the Chairman of Mkpat Enin local government council, Mr Aniekpon Ekpo, advised the newly inaugurated campaign organisation to deepen awareness on the power of the permanent voter's card  and sensitize the people to  obtain their voter's card from the Independent National Electoral Commission, so as to vote  massively in support of the PDP in the forthcoming elections.

The Chapter Chairman of the party, Honourable Anietie Sunday averred that Mkpat Enin people have good reasons to be more committed and support PDP in the forthcoming 2023 general elections. He urged the campaign Council to take the awareness to the villages in Mkpat and also dissuade gullible people from attending meetings with opposition parties. 

Speaking on behalf of the campaign Council, the newly inaugurated campaign Director General, Rev Obot Ekanem assured the candidates and the party that the council will work selflessly to ensure victory in the 2023 elections.

He pleaded that every structures that existed  before and during the party's nominations should be dissolved into one  and  work for the success of all the candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party in the forthcoming general elections. 

He cautioned against supporting candidates selectively, noting that supports must be channelled to every PDP candidates.

Meanwhile, the campaign Council visited Ikpa Ikono ward 1 and Ibiaku ward 2 respectively, to brief the people on the gains of supporting PDP in the forthcoming 2023 general elections in the area.
