Fire Wrecks Havoc In Oruk Anam



An early morning fire yesterday wrecked havoc in Nung Ikot Obiodo village, Oruk Anam Local Government Area. Our correspondent gathered that the fire incident which happened in the family compound of one Chief Friday Idiong and the ravaging inferno burned down the whole Compound including spoons


Although no life was lost to the fire, house hold properties were completely destroyed, leaving Chief Idiong and his family including PDP ward Chairman of ward 7 Mr. Sunday Akpan Idiong stranded.


Our correspondent gathered that the source of the fire could not be ascertained as at the time of filling this report as family members were not at home when it occurred.


Idiong who was seen still sobbing and recounting the losses, said that the fire incident has posed a serious setback to members of the family.


Meanwhile, the devastated Idiong has appealed to Akwa Ibom State Government, organizations, spirited individuals to come to their rescue as the entire family members have been rendered homeless.
