Breaking! Gov Eno clears N39.8b bank loans incurred by Udom's administration

  The Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Bassey Eno has cleared N39.831 billion commercial bank loan owed by the administration of the immediate past Governor of the state, Mr Udom Emmanuel.  The Honourable Commissioner for Finance, Mr Emem Bob made this known during a press briefing on Tuesday at the Ministry's Conference room, Idongesit Nkanga Secretariat, Uyo. According to him, "After a thorough review and negotiations, this Administration of His Excellency, Pastor Umo Bassey Eno fully cleared the debt as at last month of November, 2025. The total amount paid was N39.831 billion. The details of the transaction are; Principal: N34.533 billion and Interest of  N5,298 billion." The Finance Commissioner noted that since May 29 , 2023 when Governor Eno came to power, he has not borrowed money for any project or programme. He further disclosed that the Governor has also  paid additional N76.3 billion out of the N 110 billion backlog of gratuities inherited from 2012....

Rev Obot Ekanem donates office to APC in Ikpa Ikono ward 3

                Rev Obot Ekanem   The Eyes Newspapers  A foremost political stakeholder and former chairmanship aspirant in Mkpat Enin local government area, Rev. Obot Ekanem has handed over a well furnished party office to the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Ikpa Ikono ward 3, Mkpat Enin local government area. Rev Ekanem while handing over the party office to the ward chairman last Monday, mentioned that the gesture was in appreciation to the magnanimity of Pastor Umo Basey Eno, specifically for awarding the Mkpat Enin/Etinan road with a spur to the Paramount Ruler 's house which crisscross the ward , a road he described as death trap before the construction.  Addressing the people, Rev Ekanem who is the Political Leader of Ikpa Ikono ward 3, thanked them for their support for the governor so far, and urged them to continue to support the administration of Pastor Umo Eno beyond 2027 for more development in the area.  He said...
