A non-denominational gathering of pastors’ wives, female ministers, and women in Christian ministry has concluded its 2026 conference in Uyo with a call to remain steadfast in God.

The Female Ministers Conference held last weekend at New Point Hotel, along Atiku Abubakar Way, Uyo.

Speaking at the event, the International Coordinator of the Female Ministers Conference, Engr. Pastor Bola Adeoye, said the conference was convened to strengthen the confidence and steadfastness of women in ministry.

She traced the origin of the organization to the vision of the late Rev. Sola Achudume, wife of the General Overseer of Victory Life Bible Church International. According to Adeoye, Rev. Achudume founded Royal Ladies International over 20 years ago. The umbrella group later birthed sub-groups, including the Female Ministers Conference.

“The mandate is to strengthen, equip, and furnish the woman in ministry to be her best,” Adeoye said.

She added that Rev. Achudume believed the call of God on women was not meant to be a struggle, but an opportunity for their lives to shine and be deeply rooted to withstand life’s storms. The conference, she noted, was designed to build confidence, impart wisdom, and foster supportive connections among attendees.

“The Female Minister is strategically designed to ignite and steer female ministers through God’s Word, inspiring them to rise above challenges and make impactful contributions to their ministries, families, and communities,” she said.

This year’s gathering marked the 11th edition of the conference. Adeoye said many women have found confidence in their identity and calling through the platform.

In her opening remarks, the State Coordinator, Dr. Edo Obot Ekanem, said every woman, regardless of calling or assignment, is equal in the body of Christ and is called to promote faithful service in God’s vineyard.

She described the conference as an opportunity for women in ministry to learn, unlearn, and encourage one another to stand firm in their various callings.

“In this Female Ministers Conference, I see you as God sees you — as the first fruit of His creation, most intelligent, the saints and the beloved of God. I welcome you as such,” she said.

“We are ministers of God. We are duty-bound to preach in season and out of season. Rejoice and be glad.”

Speaking on the theme, _“Deeply Rooted,”_ guest preacher Archbishop Josephine Eggah anchored her teaching on Colossians 2:6-7 and Jeremiah 17:7-8. She explained the theme as being “far down from the surface,” and spiritually, as the depth of one’s commitment in God’s vineyard.

Archbishop Eggah urged the women to deepen their devotion to God and move beyond superficial worship.

“God does not want the woman to be on the surface, but to be deeply planted to stand the storms of life,” she said. “Be firmly planted, fixed, grounded, secured, and immovable in faith. Stand still and see the salvation of the Lord.”
