Rt Hon Martins Inyang, Accord Chairman, Akwa Ibom State
The State Chairman of Accord party in Akwa ibom State, Rt Hon Martins Inyang has applauded the Akwa Ibom State Governor, Mr Udom Emmanuel over the recent commissioning of Ikot Oku Ikono flyover, describing it as a big relief for commuters.
Rt Hon Inyang while fielding questions from our Reporter stated that although the flyover project took time to be completed, the quality of work done is worth the time of waiting for it.
He specifically commended the Honourable Commissioner for Works and Fire Service, Prof Eno Ibanga for his resilience and effort of ensuring quality work delivery in the shortest possible time frame.
The Accord Chairman pleaded with Akwa Ibom State Government to leave sentiment aside and ensure that all alternative routes that have been damaged during the period of the flyover construction are fixed and on time.

He called for completion of other major projects in the State, specifically the Uyo- Ikot Ekpene road which according to him, is long overdue, adding that the road has stalled economic growth in that area.

Rt Hon Inyang who is a two terms former Chairman of Inter-Party Advisory Council in Akwa Ibom State, urged Governor Udom Emmanuel to also look into human capacity development, reiterating that the level of poverty and hunger in the State is alarming.
