2023: U2U Movement backs Akan Udofia on Governorship




A new socio-political group that aims at deeply integrating people of the grassroots about the person and ideals of Mr. Akan Udofia, GMD of Desicon Engineering Limited has emerged.

The group, named Unit to Unit Movement for Akan Udofia, U2U4 Akan Udofia, was launched in Uyo on Sunday, 12th December, 2021.

At the inaugural meeting, friends and political associates of Mr. Akan Udofia, a frontline contender in the 2023 governorship race in Akwa Ibom State spoke glowingly of the character, personality and ability of Mr. Udofia to ensure ‘benefitting industrialization’ and tourism development in  Akwa Ibom State if given a chance to govern the state.  

Pass and serving elected government officials across Akwa Ibom State, political stakeholders across all the thirty one Local Government Areas in the state and other right-hand men of ‘AK Prosperity’ were in attendance at the inauguration.

Speaking at the event, Hon. Nathan Akpan, while addressing the attendees said that the event was hosted to unite the supporters of the Akan Udofia project across the 31 Local Government Areas of Akwa Ibom State ahead of the upcoming inauguration of both the state executive and Local Government executive councils of the group.

He said that the attendance and quality of personalities present at the meeting as impressive, pledging that they will not regret their choices to support Akan Udofia who he described as a man of impeccable character and enormous capacity to attract quality investments to Akwa Ibom State. 

Also speaking, Engr. Ifiok Ekong from Eastern Obolo said that he was willing and ready to massively mobilize the people of his community and beyond to support the Akan Udofia project because of the sincerity and capacity he has seen in the Nsit Ibom born business man.

Highlight of the event was the Inauguration of Local Government Coordinators for the 31 Local Government Areas across Akwa Ibom State.
