We are Ready for 2023 Election in Akwa Ibom - AAC

The Akwa Ibom State Working Committee of African Action Congress (AAC) has reiterated its preparedness for the 2023 general elections.


The party announced that it remains open for new membership and credible aspirants who are willing to contest the elections.


In a State Working Committee meeting presided by the State Chairman of the Party, Elder Fred Obot, at Watbridge Hotel Uyo yesterday, they described AAC as the only credible alternative for Akwa Ibom State.

Briefing journalists at the end of the meeting, State Publicity Secretary of the Party, Honourable Uduak Asian Wilson, said that his Party is deeply rooted in all the units, wards, and local government across the thirty-one local government areas of Akwa Ibom State.

He assured that his party wil produce democratically elected candidates for Akwa Ibom people to vote into power, adding that AAC will form the majority in the 8th Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly.

The Publicity Secretary also hinted that they have concluded plans for the national Congress in Abuja where some Akwa Ibom people will be part of the national leadership of the Party.

He called on citizens to go out and engaged in the ongoing voters registration and revalidation exercise, explaining that the power to vote and be voted for lies on voter's card.


Speaking further, the State woman leader of African Action Congress Lady Mercy Okon, also called on Akwa Ibom women to join her party and participate actively in theHappy forthcoming 2023 election.


She mentioned that her party will give the women folk an equitable power sharing, as well as its pride of place in the comity of womanhood.
