A'IBOM PDP FLAGS-OFF GOVERNORSHIP CAMPAIGN TUESDAY NOVEMBER 8



The PDP/Umo Eno Campaign Council hereby notifies the public that the 

official declaration and State flag-off the Governorship Campaigns has been 

scheduled for Tuesday, November 8, 2022.

Venue is the *Nest of Champions* 

Time is 10am.


Consequently, the Director-General of our Campaign Council, His Excellency, 

Amb. Assam Assam hereby invites the entire leadership and members of the 

Campaign Council, the political class, party faithful across the thirty-one 

local government areas, support groups and the entire strata of Akwa Ibom 

community to the event. 

The PDP/Umo Eno Campaign Council urges all Akwa Ibom people within 

and outside the state to effectively become a part of this new, collective 

history in building a greater Akwa Ibom State.

Senator OBA Dumps YPP, Defects To APC In A'Ibom...Senate President, Others on Ground for Reception

The Senate President Godswill Akpabio and 10 senators are expected to receive the 2023 governorship candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) in Akwa Ibom State, Bassey Albert, into the All Progressives Congress (APC) today, Friday, in Akwa Ibom. A source, who disclosed this to PREMIUM TIMES, said the event will take place in the afternoon at Mr Akpabio’s hometown, Ukana, Essien Udim Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom. “The senators are already in town, they are lodging at a hotel in Ikot Ekpene. Akpabio, yesterday, had a meeting with Oba (Mr Albert is popularly known as Oba in Akwa Ibom) and his supporters who are already defecting to the APC,” the source said. “Akpabio is not acting on his own, it’s a directive from Tinubu that he and other senators should come over to Akwa Ibom to receive Oba,” he added.
