A'Ibom Son, Ofonime Okon Emerges CPS in Wike's LGA


Comrade Ofonime Okon 

•wins  journalist of the year award in Rivers 

An ace journalist and indigene of Mkpat Enin local government area in Akwa Ibom State, Comrade Ofonime Okon has been appointed as the Chief Press Secretary to the Executive Chairman of Obio Akpor Local Government Area, Ambassador Chijioke Ihunwo.

Abio Akpor is the local government area of the current Minister of FCT, Nyesom Wike.

In a release signed by the Abio Akpor helmsman and made available to the public, Ambassador  Ihunwo congratulated Mr Okon and asked him to bring his wealth of experience to the governance of Obio Akpor Local Government Area.

Meanwhile, Mr Ofonime Okon has been awarded the Best Journalist of the Year 2024 in Rivers State by the National Network Newspaper. 

His emergence according to the organizers of the award ceremony was sequel to a thorough evaluation process.

The award will be presented to him on October 25, 2024 in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. 

Ofonime Okon is a staff of Rhythm 93.7 FM, Port Harcourt and a practising journalist with years of experience.
