DNKI A'Ibom chapter Celebrates Norsemen Day, Today

 


•• Presents  public lecture, visits Uyo Correctional Center

Members of De Norsemen Kclub International, DNKI, incorporated, Akwa Ibom State Chapter, will today, Tuesday, October 15, 2024 join her counterparts across the globe to celebrate her Humanitarian Service Day. October 15th is set aside globally to celebrate Norsemen Humanitarian Services Day.

A press statement signed by Mr. Bassey Akpan, the secretary of planning committee, said that this year's theme, "Random Acts of Charity" is aimed at extending goodwill to the downtrodden in the society especially the poor who are not able to cater for themselves in this difficult times. 

According to him, "This year, the Akwa Ibom State Chapter of DNKI is set to  join other chapters across the globe to celebrate our annual Humanitarian Service Day. This year's theme, "Random Acts of Charity" is inspired by our core values and motto which is ''service to humanity''.

"The celebration is a worldwide event and as a chapter we are prepared to do what we know how to do best; providing succour to humanity".

The statement added that activities to mark the event will include; visit to the Nigeria Correctional Center in Uyo and a lecture at the Clubhouse located at Akpasak Estate, Uyo. 

The statement further invites members and the general public to attend the event.
